The interrogation

Ten years later, Merritt is arrested in France, along with Jack and June. Veronika Vanderberg questions him at the police station, and he reads her in seconds: her father cheated on her mother, the mother took her own life, and Veronika killed the housekeeper and her son. Lula frees Jack and June, but Merritt can't escape. He becomes the bargaining chip for a diamond, while the others plan the rescue.
