Kim Mills

Kim is 17, lives in Los Angeles with her mother and wealthy stepfather, and dreams of singing. She asks her father, Bryan, to let her go to Paris with her friend Amanda, really to follow the U2 tour. In Paris the two meet Peter, who takes them to the apartment where they are kidnapped. On the phone, Kim follows her father's advice and shouts out the kidnappers' descriptions. Bryan finds her at an auction and brings her home, where a surprise waits: the singer Sheerah. Amanda is taken first and ends up dead from an overdose. Kim is the last sale at the clandestine auction.

Kim arrives in Istanbul with her mother, Lenore, to surprise her father. When Murad Hoxha's men come for her at the hotel, Bryan tells her by phone to hide in the closet. Later she takes her father's equipment case, sets off grenades from rooftops and, by the sound, helps Bryan find his bearings. When her father pulls her out, the two escape by taxi. In the end she passes her driving test. At the hotel, the henchmen fail to grab her only because they flee after shooting two guards. Three weeks later she celebrates her driver's license at a Los Angeles diner with her boyfriend Jamie.

Kim welcomes her father for a visit before her birthday. Shortly after, her mother, Lenore, turns up dead. At the funeral, Bryan speaks with her through a hidden camera and tells her to keep her usual routine. She tells him she is pregnant and that her stepfather Stuart is acting scared and has hired bodyguards. When Stuart takes her aboard a plane, Kim begs her father not to kill him. At the end she says if it's a girl, she'll name the baby after her mother. Bryan removes a bug that Detective Dotzler planted on her. In the end her father is cleared, and she remains the reason he doesn't kill Stuart.

Kim Mills is Bryan Mills's daughter in all three films, always played by Maggie Grace. The first film starts with her kidnapping, and it is for her that her father crosses every story.
