Perdida

A gentleman at the right moment

Ian lives in 1830 with the Clarke family, one of the most respected in the area. He has a younger sister, Elisa, and the household relies on Dr. Almeida, the family's trusted doctor.

His first meeting with Sofia is nothing like a ball: she turns up stuck in the tower of an abandoned church, and Ian gets there in time to catch her fall. Instead of leaving the stranger behind, he takes her home.

The guest from the future

At the Clarke mansion, Ian finds a young woman unlike anyone he knows. Sofia talks oddly, uses words nobody understands and follows none of the rules of 1830 society. Her habits amaze him, but he doesn't judge her.

Eager to help, Ian assists Sofia in looking for a way home, even without really understanding where she came from. Days go by, and between one mix-up and the next, they fall in love.

The truth

When Sofia tells him she's from the future, the conversation goes badly. She comes to believe Ian wants to have her committed to an asylum, and she leaves the 19th century.

Ian is left behind, without her. Before time can part them for good, he writes a letter and tucks it inside the copy of Pride and Prejudice Sofia left in 1830. That's the letter she finds in the present, inside the package Abigail handed her at the very start.
