Beth Randall

Beth lives a human life in Caldwell and has no idea who her father was. Darius, a Black Dagger Brotherhood warrior, watched over his daughter from a distance. With the Lessening Society attacking the Brothers, he asks Wrath to look after her, because Beth is close to a change that could kill her. When Beth meets Wrath, the connection is instant, and she can't explain it. Detective Butch O'Neal, who has feelings for her, gets closer too and tells her how he feels.

Wrath tells Beth what Darius really was, and her world turns upside down. She meets other Brothers, like Tohrment, and starts learning how this world works. Over a dinner, Beth and Wrath grow close for good. When her body starts to change, Butch brings her to Wrath, and she meets the whole Brotherhood. The transition is brutal, but Beth survives with Wrath's help. Now she's part of a world she never knew existed.

The Brotherhood's house is preparing for a major ceremony, but its enemies won't wait. The lesser Mr. X, who has already recruited young Billy Riddle, kidnaps Beth in the final episode. Wrath, who has just uncovered a plot to kill him, rallies the Brothers and Butch to go get her at nightfall.

In the books, Beth leads Dark Lover alongside Wrath, and the two return to center stage in The King.
