Quick recap

Caldwell, May 1981. Darius, son of Marklon, is one of the original Brothers, worn down by the war against the Lessening Society and by a king who refuses to rule. One night he swerves his new BMW to avoid hitting Anne, a human woman running into the road. They fall into a relationship, but when Anne learns what Darius is, she flees in horror, unaware she's carrying his child. Their reunion comes too late and ends in tragedy. Darius devotes himself to protecting the daughter he had with Anne, a girl destined to be queen, and to honoring the memory of the woman he loved. His butler Fritz stays at his side throughout.
