Ethan is changing too: he forgets things, hears voices and sees a stranger in the mirror. A Seer tells him his soul split when he was brought back too fast, and part of it stayed in the underworld. The group believes the One Who Is Two must be sacrificed to restore balance. The sacrifice is Ethan. Amma fails to save him. On top of the water tower, the other half of his soul tries to stop him, and the two fall together.
