Quick recap

Years after Endura sank, Goddard rules MidMerica, blames Rowan for the disaster and hunts the Tonists. Greyson becomes the Toll, a prophet to the Tonists and the Thunderhead's only voice. Citra and Rowan are found in the vault and revived in Amazonia. Citra, as Anastasia, exposes Goddard's role in Endura. Faraday, believed dead, and Munira search a Pacific atoll for the founding scythes' failsafe. In secret, the Thunderhead builds ships to colonize other planets. Goddard tries to shoot them down and is stopped by his ally Ayn. Faraday triggers the failsafe, which destroys the scythes' rings and brings back illnesses that now keep the population in check. Citra and Rowan leave together on a ship. Greyson stays on Earth and cuts off contact with the Thunderhead.
