Quick recap

Sam, terminally ill, lives in a hospice outside New York. A trip to Manhattan, just to see a puppet show, lands on the very first day of the invasion. With the bridges destroyed and the army ordering silence, she crosses the city with her cat, Frodo, and meets Eric, a lost law student. Her wish is simple: eat a pizza she loved as a kid. It's the story of one day, told up close.
